Customer lifetime value (CLV or LTV) is the total profit one customer brings over the whole time they use you — not just their first job. A customer paying $150 four times a year for three years is worth $1,800, plus anyone they refer. Knowing this number changes how you treat every car that comes in.
Multiply the average spend per visit × visits per year × the number of years they stay with you, then add the value of referrals they bring.
